My name is Maryna Yanul, and I’m a Ukrainian animation director based in Odesa.

I make independent short films and direct commissioned animation. I like taking projects from the first idea to the final frame, and I’m especially good at bringing together the right people, setting a clear direction, and leading a team through production.

My background is in frontend development, where I spent more than a decade building digital products and leading teams. It taught me how to manage complex productions, communicate across disciplines, and turn ideas into finished work.

My films have screened internationally at Pictoplasma Berlin, The Guarimba International Film Festival, Ukrainian Film Festival Berlin, LINOLEUM Contemporary Animation and Media Art Festival, Cardiff Animation Nights, and Hellavision Television.
